Suffolk (“Suffolk Construction”) works with third party recruiting agencies. We sincerely believe our continued success relies on our ability to attract top talent. We also respect the time and energy it takes to source qualified and interested candidates. Knowing this, we work with a group of preferred vendors that have been selected as a result of a screening and evaluation process by our Talent Acquisition Group. Due to the high volume of solicitations and the competitive landscape for identifying talent, we perform an annual assessment of our preferred vendor list.

If you would like to be considered as a potential future preferred vendor, please contact us at recruiting@suffolk.com and include information about your firm as well as a primary point of contact. Please note that providing this information DOES NOT qualify you as a preferred vendor.

All vendors must have an executed Suffolk vendor agreement signed by the Vice President of Talent Acquisition in order to receive payment for a candidate placement. Any resume submitted to any employee without a Suffolk signed vendor agreement in place will be considered the property of Suffolk. Securing a signed preferred vendor agreement from the Vice President of Talent Acquisition is the only way you will be paid. Verbal commitments from any member of the Suffolk staff will not be considered binding. Additionally, Suffolk will not pay a fee to a third-party recruiter that has not coordinated their recruiting activity with a member of the Talent Acquisition Group. It is the responsibility of all third-party recruiting /staffing agencies to know and abide by this policy.

The Project Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating all necessary project resources and documentation throughout the entire project lifecycle. This includes the maintenance of budget and schedule, and the management and administration of all contractual requirements, agreements with trade partners, purchase orders, meeting minutes and shop drawing logs. The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for managing a portion of the construction process and assuming some leadership responsibilities on projects. The Assistant Superintendent has typically mastered the responsibilities of a Field Engineer and is working toward becoming a Superintendent, which is arguably the most important role on a building construction project site and is responsible for overseeing and managing all day-to-day job site activities. The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for managing and maintaining contracts, documents and drawings; monitoring production and record rates in logbooks; and managing production documents on a daily basis so that an accurate measure of “work in place” is consistently maintained.
