The Senior Staff Accountant reports directly to the Corporate Controller and will also have significant interaction with other members of the Accounting, Finance and Operational Accounting teams.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in monthly financial statement preparation
  • Maintain and reconcile key general ledger accounts
  • Coordinate with Treasury Analyst to ensure all daily cash activity is recorded
  • Prepare Intercompany billings
  • Generate various monthly corporate allocations
  • Audit and approve employee expense reports
  • Manage and maintain vendor records
  • Prepare and file monthly sales and use tax filings
  • Participate in annual audit preparation and analyses
  • Enter AP invoices and obtain required invoice approvals from management, including research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
  • Ad hoc assignments as needed
  • Participate in monthly system closes



Qualifications

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.  Advanced degree a plus.
  • Minimum of two years of related experience
  • Skills with General Ledger, working knowledge of GAAP Accounting Principles 
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Oracle experience a plus

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stands; walk; and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will spend their time in an office environment with a quiet to moderate noise level. Job site walking.
