This new role is part of Suffolk’s growing video team and will serve as a mobile, quick-turn content engine—helping us scale storytelling across regions and bring more authentic Suffolk moments to life through social, internal, and external content.

You’ll travel frequently, work solo or in small crews, and use a lightweight camera/editing setup to create short- and long-form video content that’s fast, fresh, and always on-brand. You’ll also support larger productions as needed, working alongside our Creative Video Producers and Videographers.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the broader Creative and Marketing teams to plan and execute content that supports business goals and amplifies regional voices
  • Conduct quick interviews and capture natural, unscripted moments that showcase Suffolk’s people and values
  • Edit footage in Davinci Resolve and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Help ensure brand consistency across all video assets
  • Travel regularly to capture regional content and build strong relationships across the business
  • Support larger video shoots as needed (pre-production, b-roll, editing)
  • Maintain and manage lightweight camera/editing gear and organize footage for archive

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in video production and editing, with a portfolio/reel that showcases strong storytelling skills
  • Proficient in editorial programs, Davinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro and familiar with After Effects, Photoshop, and Lightroom
  • Comfortable with camera operation, lighting, audio techniques, and editing workflows for quick-turn solo shoots
  • Experience operating professional DSLR and cinema cameras, with a strong understanding of camera settings, composition, and lighting techniques
  • Skilled in using gimbals, stabilizers, and other camera stabilization equipment
  • Comfortable with setting up, troubleshooting, and maintaining camera gear and accessories in various field environments.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different equipment and shooting conditions
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and what performs well
  • Self-starter with the ability to contribute to planning, execute efficiently, and help deliver high-quality content as part of a collaborative team
  • Excellent people skills and ability to make subjects feel comfortable on camera
  • Willingness to travel frequently across the U.S.
  • Photography skills are a plus, but not required
  • FAA drone license preferred (or willingness to obtain one)

Who You Are:

  • You’re scrappy, resourceful, and love finding stories in unexpected places
  • You’re a fast editor with a good eye and great instincts
  • You know how to move quickly without sacrificing quality
  • You enjoy being out in the field, capturing real moments as they unfold
  • You’re a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment—comfortable supporting group projects and larger shoots
