Role:
Infrastructure Services encompass various technical areas focusing on IT (Information Technology) governance, service management and delivery, and technology oversight. This group is accountable for delivering all technology infrastructure services, including Cloud and SaaS, data centers, networks, servers/storage, end-user computing, telephony, and security services. Within Infrastructure Services, the core infrastructure team supports all aspects of the Cloud, virtual servers and storage environments, and associated technologies for Suffolk and our customers nationally.
As a member of the Core Infrastructure Services Team, the Senior/Lead Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for effective architecture/design, procurement, provisioning, deployment, configuration, operation, maintenance, and capacity planning of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. Additionally, the individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational standards, enabling staff and business units. The incumbent acts as a resource and an escalation point for Support Desk personnel fielding incident requests, providing resolution and root cause analysis.
