About Giving Circle

Giving Circle is Suffolk’s employee-driven nonprofit, which provides support to members of our community when they need it most. Funded and driven by Suffolk and FUSE employees, as well as our dedicated clients and trade partners, Giving Circle is our way of financially supporting members of our community during times of personal hardship.


The Role

The Program Coordinator is an administrative role tasked with supporting the strategic growth and outreach of Suffolk’s internal philanthropy program, The Giving Circle. Working closely with the Giving Circle team, this individual will be responsible for administrative duties that help the Program Manager ensure that our grant recipients are being cared for at the highest level. 


Operations Support:

  • Ensure Giving Circle Teams Channel is organized with updated documentation
  • Support Program Specialist with case management work as appropriate
  • Serve as a point of contact for Giving Circle requests and offer assistance or training where needed
  • Collect proper documentation and set up vendors for payment
  • Manage FedEx account and sending of all outgoing checks, parcels, etc.
  • Stay abreast of new and current fundraising programs and donor stewardship trends

Board Support:

  • Attend monthly regional committee meetings and take meeting minutes
  • Support Program Specialist in preparing cases to boards for vote
  • Engage with employees and trade partners at regional office and jobsites in order to promote The Giving Circle
  • Assist Program Specialist in pushing content and information to the Giving Circle Ambassadors

Regional Fundraising Support:

  • Assist Senior Manager as needed in regional fundraising initiatives
  • Participate in creative brainstorm for fundraising events, programs, and opportunities
  • Participate as necessary on regional planning committees to support fundraising efforts


  • Highly organized and able to juggle multiple projects at once while keeping calm under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to think creatively about ways to engage Suffolk employees and provide new opportunities for community involvement.
  • Team oriented and able to work effectively in a matrix structure
  • Positive personality who works well with others and is comfortable with interacting with all Suffolk employees.
  • Self-motivator.
  • Must possess Suffolk’s Core Values of passion, integrity hard work and professionalism.

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand, and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stands; walk; and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will spend their time in an office environment with a quiet to moderate noise level.
