The Role:

We are seeking an experienced, innovative problem solver to serve as a marketing resource and corporate liaison for Suffolk’s South Region (markets include Miami, West Palm Beach, Tampa, Estero and Dallas). To support Suffolk’s ambitious goals and ensure the integrity of our brand, this new role is an opportunity for a passionate thinker to apply creative and strategic efforts in the development of annual marketing plans, programmatic initiatives, and integrated cross-channel plans for their respective region. This dedicated resource will maintain a keen understanding of target markets and industry trends to develop appropriate comms strategy recommendations that maximize marketing ROI.


The Marketing Manager, South Region will dedicate time to relationship building, story mining, and content creation. They will assist national and regional PR agency partners to develop media and public relations pitches, award submissions and speaker nominations; seek high-level placements in print, broadcast and digital media; support media relations and public relations strategy with strong connection to VP, Marketing & Communications; evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising with strong connection to VP, Integrated Marketing and VP, External Affairs.


This role will partner closely with Marketing & Work Acquisition and Business Development on high-priority pursuit work and regional marketing requests. Internal clients include but are not limited to the following departments: Business Development, Trade Partner Diversity, Safety and Community. External efforts will focus on brand building and amplification.


  • Conceptualize, design, and create programmatic plans for specific initiatives aligned with business objectives
  • Lead end-to-end project management:
    • Project initiation
    • Business leader intake (when applicable) – briefing sessions
    • Write and develop succinct creative briefs
    • Brief creative and channel teams
    • Develop marketing plans in collaboration with channel experts (digital, offline, and PR)
    • Create and track tactical deliverables lists
    • Communicate with internal client throughout the life of projects
    • Package and report cross-channel results to internal client and constituents
  • Prioritize and juggle multiple assignments to deliver materials that communicate clearly defined messages, quality, and brand voice
  • Assist with all media and public relations activities
  • Work closely with the internal Brand, Creative Studio, and Channel marketing teams to deliver an exceptional client experience
  • Partner with Marketing & Work Acquisition on high-priority pursuit work and regional marketing requests
  • Liaise with Corporate Marketing partners to adapt marketing plans to regions as needed
  • Execute on national initiatives and create unique experiences for local markets
  • Maintain brand integrity and ensure consistency across all regions
  • Leverage valuable Business Development, Marketing & Work Acquisition and Strategy insights on target markets, audiences, and industry trends
  • Identify ways to measure, track and report marketing ROI
  • Travel to regional offices

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stands; walk; and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will spend their time in an office environment with a quiet to moderate noise level. Job site walking.
