Infrastructure Services encompasses a variety of technical areas that focus on IT Governance, Service Management and Delivery, and Technology Oversight. This group is accountable for the delivery of all technology infrastructure services including but not limited to Cloud and SaaS, Data Centers, Networks, Servers/Storage, Desktops, Telephony and Security services. Within Infrastructure Services, the Core Infrastructure team supports all aspects of the Cloud and virtual server and storage environment and the associated technologies for Suffolk and our customers nationally.
As a member of the Core Infrastructure Services Team, the Senior Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for effective architecture/design, procurement, provisioning, deployment, configuration, operation, maintenance and capacity planning of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. Additionally, the individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational standards, enabling staff and business units. Acts as a resource and an escalation point for Support Desk personnel fielding incident requests and providing resolution and root cause analysis.
