Overview

The People & Culture Operations Director oversees the day-to- day activities of and contributes to the long-term planning on various HR programs and services.  This role is accountable for monitoring services level agreement, increasing quality standards and customer satisfaction in addition to developing strategies to enhance our service delivery model.

 

This position collaborates with Finance, People & Culture Centers of expertise, HRIS and the VP, People & Culture Shared Services to ensure that Suffolk provides high quality, cost effective total rewards program.

Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Partner with P&C leadership and site leaders to understand business needs and services requirements.
  • Work with team members to set direction and priorities for each location under scope.
  • Develop plans to implement and enhance P&C Operations delivery model.

 

Change Agent

  • Champion for change, increase adoption of our service model (i.e. employee portal and P&C Operations services).
  • Proactively look for process improvements. Promote and lead the standardization of processes, identify and implement process improvements.
  • Encourag team members to think/act proactively

 

Engage and Develop Talent

  • Coach and develop key talent. Ensure goals development plans are in place for all team members.
  • Build and sustain high performing and engaged P&C Operations team with the right level and mix of skills

 

P&C Operations Management

  • Manage the P&C Operations team that delivers P&C support services that include but it is not limited to employee inquiries, case management, benefits administration, and P&C system transactions across the employee life cycle
  • Work with the Operations team members to balance and manage their workload.
  • Manage ServiceNow dashboards, understanding capacity needs during designated times
  • Analyze data, share and engage with stakeholders, prioritize and act on opportunities for
  • improvement 

 

Customer focus

  • Maintain a customer-oriented culture within the operations team that continuously strives to resolve customer needs on first point of contact and drive self-service usage.
  • Accountable for all HR Operations processes ensuring a great customer experience by delivering a swift and accurate service. 
  • Manage service levels agreements to ensure a high service standard. 

Qualifications

  • Must possess Suffolk’s Core Values: Passion, Integrity, Hard Work, Professionalism and Caring.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 4-6 years of experience in administering both benefits and compensation plans, including plan design, plan communications, and execution.
  • Expert level with HRIS systems – Oracle experience required

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stands; walk; and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will spend their time in an office environment with a quiet to moderate noise level. Job site walking.
