The IT Infrastructure Director role is to strategize, plan and manage staff and overall operations to ensure the stable operation of Suffolk’s Network and Security programs. This includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly Server and Datacenter Infrastructure, Network Infrastructure, Collaboration Services Infrastructure, Security Infrastructure and Jobsite Field Operations.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field is required. A Master’s Degree is preferred
  • 15+ years of management experience in the IT Infrastructure Services or Network Operations areas
  • Experience with LAN/WAN and Server design, administration and management.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking protocol and VoIP in a large and growing business environment.
  • Collaboration platforms like Office 365
  • Experience with SOX Security Policies and Standards.
  • Experience with current hardware, software and services from major vendors such as AT&T, Cisco, Dell, EMC, Microsoft, NetApp, Oracle, Polycom, Symantec, Verizon and VMWare.
  • Construction Industry experience a plus.

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stands; walk; and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will spend their time in an office environment with a quiet to moderate noise level. Job site walking.  Must be able to drive to project sites.
