The Manager, People & Culture leads the Human Resources practices and objectives for an assigned group/region; advises and counsels leadership around providing an employee-oriented, high performance culture that embodies Suffolk’s core values of passion, integrity, hard work and professionalism; drives the development of Suffolk’s foundational HR policies and procedures focused on recruitment, retention and ongoing development of Suffolk’s high performing teams and employees; is considered the “go to” person by leadership on issues related to People and Culture; and is responsible for the processes and metrics that support the achievement of the organization's business goals.

  • Partners with L&D on training needs assessment, planning, development and delivery


  • Bachelor’s degree and 5-10 years of direct Human Resources Management experience, construction industry experience a plus
  • PHR/SPHR certification preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office; previous experience and with ATS and HRIS systems, Oracle experience a plus
  • Proven success in recruiting and workforce planning
  • Results driven

  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build strong working relationships at all levels

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stands; walk; and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will spend their time in an office environment with a quiet to moderate noise level. Job site walking.
