Role Summary
The role of Senior Power Platform Engineer is an individual level contributor who will lead the design, development, and delivery of secure, scalable, enterprise-grade applications using low-code/no-code platforms, with a primary focus on Microsoft Power Platform. This role will partner with business and technology stakeholders to transform requirements into well-architected solutions, drive delivery quality (CI/CD, testing, observability), establish governance guardrails, and accelerate digital outcomes across the enterprise.
The ideal candidate brings a product mindset, strong SDLC discipline, and deep hands-on expertise across LCNC platforms, integrations, and enterprise controls (identity, data protection, compliance).
End-to-End Delivery
· Lead design, configuration, development, and deployment of LCNC solutions from discovery through hyper care.
· Convert business requirements and process maps into robust applications, automation, workflows, and integrations.
· Own release planning, deployment pipelines, and production readiness (risk, rollback, monitoring).
Power Platform Responsibilities
· Design and build model-driven and canvas apps, leveraging Dataverse for secure and scalable data storage.
· Develop Power Automate flows (cloud and desktop) for process automation and system integration.
· Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards
· Configure and manage Power Pages for external-facing portals with proper authentication and security.
· Create and maintain custom connectors, PCF controls, and reusable components for enterprise-wide use.
· Implement ALM best practices using Solutions, Power Platform Pipelines, and Azure DevOps/GitHub for CI/CD.
· Enforce environment strategy (Dev/Test/Prod), DLP policies, and RBAC for compliance and governance.
· Integrate Power Platform apps with Microsoft 365, Azure services, and external APIs (REST, Graph API).
· Optimize performance and troubleshoot issues across apps, flows, and connectors; ensure high availability and resilience.
· Apply secure-by-design principles including encryption, secrets management, and conditional access.
· Monitor and maintain observability using Power Platform Admin Center, App Insights, and analytics dashboards.
Architecture & Integration
· Design modular, reusable components (controls, connectors, templates) with API-first principles.
· Integrate with enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, HRIS, data warehouses, SaaS) using REST/GraphQL, webhooks, OData, and message queues.
· Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability; conduct load testing and capacity planning.
Governance, Security & Compliance
· Implement tenant/environment strategies, DLP policies, RBAC, ALM, and solution lifecycle management.
· Ensure data privacy, encryption, auditability, and compliance (e.g., SOC2, ISO 27001, SOX, HIPAA/PHI as applicable).
· Champion secure-by-design: secrets management, least privilege, proactive threat modeling.
DevOps & Quality Engineering
· Establish CI/CD for LCNC (Power Platform Pipelines, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
· Define test strategies (unit, integration, UI, regression), implement automated testing where supported, and codify quality gates.
· Instrument observability (logs, metrics, traces), SLOs/SLIs, dashboards, and alerts; drive incident response/playbooks.
Product & Stakeholder Management
· Facilitate discovery workshops, backlog creation, and prioritization; maintain high signal in user stories and acceptance criteria.
· Work closely with UX, business owners, and architects to balance speed, maintainability, and compliance.
· Mentor junior developers and citizen developers; run enablement sessions and code reviews
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
· 6+ years in application engineering or solution delivery, with 4+ years hands-on in Power Platform
· Deep experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps—model-driven/canvas, Power Automate, Power Pages, Dataverse, Power Fx, custom connectors).
· Strong SDLC, Agile (Scrum/Kanban), DevOps, and release management experience in regulated enterprise environments.
· Integration expertise: REST APIs, Graph API, webhooks, OAuth2/OpenID Connect, SSO (Azure AD/Entra ID), event-driven patterns.
· Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT, governance (DLP, RBAC), and compliance practices.
· Proven track record in solution architecture, performance tuning, and production support.
· Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with Azure DevOps/GitHub CI/CD for LCNC ALM, automated testing tools, and environment strategies.
· Exposure to AI-assisted development (Copilot, AI Builder) and governance for generative AI features.
· Experience with process mining and RPA (Power Automate Desktop, UiPath).
· Certifications:
o Microsoft: PL-200, PL-400, SC-900, AZ-400
· Background in data/analytics—Power BI.

The expected salary range for this position (Senior Power Platform Engineer) in US-MA-Boston is between $120,000 and $162,000 USD. This represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Suffolk’s total compensation package. Actual salaries may be based on several factors including, but not limited to, skill set, experience, education and other qualifications.
